* The following programs require registration, and spaces will be limited. Multi-day camps build on the previous day. Attendees must attend Day 1 to attend Day 2.

Sewing Spring Break Camp

If you’re interested in learning how to sew, be sure to stop by our Sewing Camp happening April 4th through April 5th at the Centerville Learning Lab from 12 PM to 2 PM. In this two-day session, we will teach you the basics of how to use our sewing machines. We will walk through the information in our normal Sewing Basics course, and then you will use your new skills to create a bookmark and a simple tote bag!

Unity 3D Spring Break Camp

If you’re interested in learning how to make a video game, be sure to stop by our Unity 3D Camp happening April 4th through April 5th at the Norcross Learning Lab from 1 PM to 3 PM. In this two-day session, we will introduce you to the Unity Game Engine, walk you through how to set up your own account, and show you how to make a third-person video game!

Intro to Inky Spring Break Camp

If you’re interested in learning how to make text-based games, be sure to stop by our Intro to Inky Camp happening April 6th through April 7th at the Duluth Learning Lab from 12 PM to 2 PM. In this two-day session, we will introduce you to Inky, an online engine that will help you create narrative video games. You will build your own choose-your-own-adventure game and learn about building a game in Unity.

April 5th – Beginner Sewing from 2 PM – 3 PM at the Centerville Learning Lab

Come use your already-developed skills in using a sewing machine to craft something unique!

April 5th – Managing Creative Projects with Obsidian from 5 PM – 6 PM at the Suwanee Learning Lab

Obsidian is a note-taking software that works on Markdown editing to help organize files.

April 6th – Script Frenzy from 6 PM – 7 PM at the Duluth Learning Lab

Script Frenzy starts a month-long challenge where you will challenge yourself to write a video game, movie, play, or another script in a month!

The Learning Labs is a Gwinnett County Public Library’s community maker space. Here you can create podcasts, video and photography content, and design digital and printable graphics using the full Adobe Creative Suite. Your imagination is the architect in the Learning Labs. Learning Labs are exclusively reserved for customers wishing to use specialized equipment or software.
