The Learning Labs at GCPL are innovation hubs designed to provide creative resources to Gwinnett entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, and engineers, so you can pursue your passions and bring your ideas to life. We focus on empowering our community by providing a modern and professional platform of tools, software, and education. The Learning Labs collection includes fabrication equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines, as well as the full Adobe Creative Suite, free access to training through Linkedin Learning, and so much more.

Learning Labs are free and open to all GCPL cardholders. Entrepreneurs can use the fabrication tools with CAD software to develop prototypes for their next invention. Business owners can use the audio/video studios, fully equipped with cameras, lighting, microphones and editing software, to create product photography, promotional videos and other digital content such as podcasts and graphic design.

If you are interested in learning more about the Learning Labs, but don’t know where to start, GCPL offers free public programs where you can learn about the latest technologies available to learn a specific skill, such as Photography or 3D Printing. Some programs require advance registration due to limited availability. Additionally, you can schedule a one-on-one help session with a Learning Lab Specialist, who can provide targeted learning resources for the specific tools and software you want to use.

Learning Labs are currently located in 8 of the 15 GCPL branches: Centerville, Duluth, Five Forks, Lilburn, Hamilton Mill, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, and Suwanee. To book time in a Learning Lab or schedule a Book-a-Librarian help session with one of our Learning Lab Specialists, please visit gwinnettpl.org/learninglabs/.
