Gwinnett County Public Library is proud to provide access to library materials for our homebound cardholders through our Mailbox Books service. Those who are unable to visit the branch due to age, physical disability, chronic illness, or a visual impairment, or those who experience a temporary condition that renders them homebound, are eligible for this service. Currently, Mailbox Books is only available to Gwinnett County residents.

How it works:

Participants of the Mailbox books service will be able to select the materials they’d like to receive or can grant staff access to keep a record of their previously borrowed materials. This helps staff avoid sending the same selection twice as well as get a sense of your reading preferences. You will also have the opportunity to rate items, request titles, and speak directly to staff members that will help you locate the best books to suit your needs in any format you prefer: regular print, large print, DVD, or CD books.

Materials are checked out for 42 days and can be renewed, without extended loan fees.
Participants will still be responsible for any lost or damaged materials.
