A Vibrant and Dynamic Collection

The collection is not just an archive of old books and print materials but is a vibrant and dynamic collection of traditional and new media. In addition to the library’s regular, strategic investment in books, the library’s collection includes digital and online subscription services that help residents of all ages thrive at school and in life 24/7.

World Languages Collection

To enrich the educational and recreational experiences of our diverse patron base, we feel it’s important to enhance our World Languages Collection. This selection will feature books in a variety of languages, allowing non-English speakers and multilingual individuals to access literature that speaks to their cultural heritage and unique identities. By expanding our collection in this way, we aim to promote literacy, celebrate diversity, and encourage engagement among all members of our community. Join us in embracing the richness of global perspectives through the power of reading!

Hooper-Renwick Black Studies Collection

The Hooper-Renwick Special Collection features a broad and diverse range of titles reflecting the Black diasporic experience. The collection consists primarily of nonfiction works, with the on-site holdings housed in the Black Studies Room at the historic Hooper-Renwick Library. Copies of most of these titles are available to check out with a valid library card at all Gwinnett County Public Library branches. The print collection includes titles for readers of all ages, encompassing select works of fiction and classic literature that highlight the Black experience in America. The Library also provides access to an extensive archive of digitized historic Black newspapers, including several Atlanta area publications, offering a valuable resource for research and scholarship.
