CAN YOU BUILD A VIDEO GAME IN ONLY . . . 48-hours or 2 weeks?
Choose Your Game Jam is a virtual event for game creators of all levels. Participants can choose between a 48-hour sprint or a 2-week marathon to create games around a secret theme. The jam will culminate with a live showcase and awards ceremony at the Norcross Branch on Saturday, December 6, at 3 pm.
Two Jams, One Theme. Participants can choose the timeline that best fits their schedule. This is a great opportunity for newcomers to try their hand at creating a game. Games of all levels are welcome!
We will be accepting submissions from around the world and even have a special “Out of State Award.” The Out of State award is not eligible for cash prizes.
Theme reveal & Game Jams begin: Saturday, November 1st at 9 am
Rules:
- Almost any game engine, tool, or game-making website is allowed. The exception is no AI-generated artwork. If you cannot upload your game to itch.io, we will have a form for us to play your game on a website like Scratch.
- Your game must be SFW (safe-for-work). This is an all ages jam, so avoid nudity, drug use, profanity, slurs, or extreme violence. We will remove any games we deem inappropriate.
- Games must be made playable for the web only.
- Games must be free to play.
