Dr. Wandy Taylor

Dr. Wandy Taylor was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Gwinnett County Public Library in January 2019 and currently serves as treasurer. Dr. Taylor retired after23 years of working as an administrator in public education. She has served as a counselor, assistant principal, director of an early childhood development program, and principal. In addition, she has worked 15 years in the corporate sector as a director of Human Resources.

Dr. Taylor holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership & Management from Capella University, an Ed.S. in Educational Administration from the University of West Georgia, an M.Ed. from South Carolina State University, and a BA from the University of South Carolina.

Her experiences in the field of public education have allowed her to develop an expertise in the areas of leadership development; instructional leadership; Title I planning; culturally responsive pedagogy; site assessment; early childhood education; and building effective school-community partnerships. Dr. Taylor currently works as a part-time consultant with the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) and is CEO of Taylor & Taylor Education Consultants, a company she co-owns with her husband.
