Alan Kaplan is a Licensed Realtor with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. He has over 28 years of professional experience and a diverse background in government, corporate, and small business environments. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of A New Beginning Estate Sale Company, a successful high-end estate sale and appraisal service. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he was a Senior Corporate Loss Prevention Manager for Home Depot. Alan also enjoyed a successful career as a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, where he led several high-profile investigations and enjoyed assignments with the FBI, Secret Service and U.S. State Department.
Alan grew up in an Air Force family and lived in many places both domestically and internationally and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He has been a Metro Atlanta resident for more than 25 years and is currently Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission for the City of Peachtree Corners. Alan is the Chairman of the Gwinnett County 2017-2022 SPLOST Project Selection Committee and serves on the boards of the Norcross High School Foundation, Artworks Gwinnett and the Peachtree Corners Business Association, where he is also the Director of Membership.
Alan is a graduate of the Leadership Gwinnett class of 2015 and of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Community Planning Academy. He is active in a variety of organizations and programs that support our community and schools and created a Summer Satellite Library Program to provide Summer reading opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth in local apartment communities. Alan is married and a proud father of two young boys.
