Mindful Monday Book Picks

Contributed By: Jene Watson

Nurture mindfulness in your young ones by checking out these multicultural titles geared toward toddlers and younger elementary school children. Each deals in some way with paying attention to nature, showing gratitude, cooperation, patience as well as facing fear or handling emotions like anger. Many of these selections are featured during Mindful Mondays, a weekly program which gives families the opportunity to practice the art of slowing down with the help of songs, stories, and activities tailored to children’s developing attention spans.

Mindful Mondays happen at the Peachtree Corners branch on Mondays from 11:30 to noon. To check out this titles from our collection click here.
