March 7 – Business Startup Basics Workshop

The decision to start a business is thrilling, but don’t get caught up in the dream. This workshop shows you the fundamentals to consider before starting a business. The goal is to get out of the clouds and get on to the fun stuff – creating a solid business.


March 8 – Personal Storytelling For Adults

The event will also include a voluntary workshop for Seniors who may interested in putting their own stories together; and there will be an “open mike” opportunity for anyone who would like to tell a story. With input from the audience, we will create a monthly program based on your interests – listening, telling, crafting.


March 11 – Brad Parks Talk and Signing

Brad Parks is the only author to have won the Shamus, Nero and Lefty AwardsHe received the Shamus (for best first private eye novel) and the Nero (for best American mystery) for his debut, Faces of the Gone, the first book in history to take both awards. He has won two Leftys (for best humorous mystery) for his third and fourth books, The Girl Next Door and The Good Cop. In addition The Good Cop won the Shamus Award for best hardcover novel, making Parks the only former best first winner to go on and win best hardcover.


March 15 – Memoir Writing Workshop

Join David Raney as he shows how to write and edit your legacy memoir. Learn what makes writing a memoir different from journaling or biography writing. This former college professor now provides support and instruction for aspiring writers. Bring a friend for twice the fun.


March 23 – Coffee and Questions with Former IRS Manager Lonnie Malencon

Questions about completing your taxes? Join us at the Centerville Branch for an informal Q & A session with former IRS Manager Lonnie Malencon. You bring the questions, we’ll bring the coffee.


March 25 – Natural Tales at Discovery Park

Join us for a light snack before taking a stroll around the Discovery Garden Park with our Norcross Librarians and the local gardeners. Read a story, make a recycled newspaper pot, and plant a seed to take home!


March 25 – HGTV Star Chip Wade is Coming to Gwinnett

As the host, designer and executive producer on his Emmy Award Winning series, Elbow Room, Chip is there from concept through construction to show HGTV and DIY viewers how to customize their spaces and transform houses into homes that perfectly suit their lifestyle.  He has become known for his unique ability to utilize cutting edge materials, processes and authentic creativity to craft these large scale, multi-faceted projects  Chip is also currently filming a new show for HGTV and DIY.


March 30 – Mobile Career Lab – Job Search Help

Find job search help aboard Atlanta Regional Workforce Board’s MobileCareer Lab at the Grayson and Lawrenceville branches.
