Jonathan “JT” Wu
Having grown up immersed in the world of books offered by the Gwinnett County Public Library, Jonathan “JT” Wu is honored to serve on the Board of Trustees. A proud Duluth native now living a stone’s throw away in Norcross, Wu was appointed to the Board in February 2019 and is excited to play a part in the Library’s innovative efforts to enrich and inspire our changing community – particularly through the expansion of lifelong learning programs and continued technological modernization.
Wu currently leads the Mergers, Acquisitions, and Policy Development team at Prospira PainCare, following tenures with Citigroup and the U.S. State Department. In his current role, Wu works to help alleviate suffering for those in chronic pain by overseeing the growth of interventionally-focused pain management practices throughout the United States. Additionally, he is also active in efforts to increase access to life-changing medications for those fighting to overcome opioid addiction, working with public-sector partners to expand access to medication assisted treatment throughout the Southeast.
Wu is also passionate about bolstering educational opportunities for every child, having founded Preface, a public-private philanthropic initiative dedicated to leveraging Gwinnett County’s inherent multilingualism to help foster early childhood literacy. An active member of the Duluth Rotary Club and Brookhaven Presbyterian Church, he also sits on the board of the Alchemy Sky Foundation, a music-oriented support system for Georgia veterans. Wu received an A.B. cum laude in Public Policy from Princeton University, along with dual certificates in Finance and East Asian Studies.
