WiFi Hotspots are available for checkout in the library catalog. To reserve a Hotspot, click here.
To checkout a Hotspot, customers must be 13 years of age or older and hold a Full Access or Branch Out library card. Hotspots may be checked out for three weeks at a time and do not renew. You may return your Hotspot to any of GCPL branch.
What’s in the kit: one WiFi hotspot, one charging cable and one wall charger.
The Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password are located on a label on the back of the hotspot device and inside the Connect Gwinnett case that holds the device.
1. Press the Power button on the hotspot until all four indicators momentarily flash blue. The Network and Wi-Fi Indicators will come on one at a time. When the Network and Wi-Fi Indicators are illuminated in blue, the Wi-Fi connection has been enabled.
2. On your computer or other device, search for available Wi-Fi Networks and select the Network Name (SSID) for your Mobile HotSpot.
3. Enter the network password. Once connected, the Network and Wi-Fi Indicators should be illuminated in blue.
1. Press the Power button on the mobile hotspot until all four indicators momentarily flash blue. When all four buttons go dark, the Network and Wi-Fi connections have been disabled.
