Goosebumps at the Library – October 1
Join the good folks from the Aurora Theatre for a behind-the-scenes view of what it takes to make a play a reality! Enjoy a reading from R.L Stine’s Goosebumps®: Phantom of the Auditorium performed by a professional actor and learn more about how this story will go from page to stage including examples of costume and scenic designs.
Light Painting Photography – October 4
Explore your artistic style and creativity with light painting and long exposure photography. Light painting is an art form that allows you to create stunning exposures by using a handheld light source and the open shutter on your camera.

Nasa @ My Library: Space Saturday – October 14
Drop-in to virtually explore SPACE, play SPACE games, and make SPACE crafts.
Mindful Mondays: Family Meditation at the Library – October 16
This librarian-led session introduce games and rituals to make parents and kids pay close attention to their feelings and actions. The hour will include short stories, songs and quiet time adapted to children’s attention spans. For parents and children ages 3 and older.

Virginia Willis (Southern Chef and Cookbook Author) – October 19
James Beard Award Winner Virginia Willis is the author of Lighten Up, Y’all; Bon Appetit, Y’all; and Basic to Brilliant, Y’all. She has appeared on Food Network’s Chopped, Fox Family and Friends, Martha Stewart Living, and more. Willis is also an Editor-at-Large and author of the popular column “Cooking with Virginia” for Southern Living. She will appear at the Good Taste Atlanta Cooking Showcase. General admission tickets are $20 and include gift bags, live cooking demos, restaurant tastings, and more. Books will be available for purchase and signing in the Gwinnett Library booth.
Fall Carnival – October 21
The Lilburn Branch is turning one! Join us for games and prizes as we celebrate one year in the new Lilburn library.
Sensory Storytime – October 22
Join us for an interactive and educational storytime designed for children with sensory integration challenges that combines books, songs, movement, and more!
Splish-Splash Read – October 27
Gwinnett County Public Library and Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation have joined up for a splashing good time! Join library staff on these Friday nights from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Bethesda Park Aquatic Center for reading, interactive crafts/activities, light refreshments and lots of swimming.
Movie Matinee for Grown-Ups: Kong Skull Island – October 29
Join us for movie night, as we settle into a viewing of Kong: Skull Island, starring Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson John Goodman, Brie Larson, and Jing Tian. For ages 17 & up.
