Did you know the Norwegian fairy tale Three Billy Goats Gruff inspired Stephen King to write IT? As you can imagine, Pennywise the Clown was the creepy troll hiding under the bridge.

It took Stephen King four years to write IT before it was published in 1986. Later, the horror novel became a limited TV series (starring Tim Curry as Pennywise) and two movies.

So you read IT and watched all the live-action adaptations. What to do now?

Don’t forget IT is not the only book Stephen King has written. So far, he has published over 50 books!

Here are ten Stephen King books you can read when IT wasn’t enough:
(NOTE: Titles are based on original publication dates.)

1. Carrie (1974)
2. Salem’s Lot (1975)
3. The Shining (1977)
4. Cujo (1981)
5. Pet Sematary (1983)
6. Christine (1983)
