Fall Vegetable Gardening Workshop – September 7
Gwinnett County Extension Agent Timothy Daly will discuss the many vegetables that can be grown in our area and how to care for them to produce a bountiful harvest.
Ellis Henican with Tuesday’s Promise and Doc Todd – September 10
Join Chef Amanda Manning as she shares her knowledge and love of all things culinary – combining spectacular sensory experiences with stories of food culture and the pleasures of the table. Amanda grows and cooks elegant, tasty, healthy food. She is a Garden Chef at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and teaches cooking classes at Sur La Table, Whole Foods Market and for private events.
9/11 16 Year Memorial Letters – September 12
Dacula will be commemorating the 16th anniversary of September 11th by writing letters to soldiers that will be sent overseas. This is a teen event intended for ages 13-18.
Veterans Roundtable – September 13
Gwinnett Library, in partnership with Goodwill Industries, invites you to the Veterans Monthly Roundtable for comradery and expert advice
Virtual Dementia Tour – September 14
Spend 20 minutes experiencing life as it is like for those experiencing dementia. This powerful free simulation teaches how we can better respond and support those with dementia.
Developmental Disability Resource – September 19
Parents and caregivers of children with intellectual or developmental disabilities are invited to explore resources promoting greater independence.
#Adulting – September 26
Dacula presents a monthly program that will run on the last Tuesday of every month called #Adulting. Teens and young adults will be given lessons on how to perform skills they will need as adults. September’s lessons will be in sewing on a button, fixing a hem, and other sewing necessities.
Fall is For Planting Gardening Workshop – September 26
Gwinnett County Extension Agent Timothy Daly will discuss the many plants that benefit from planting in the fall for a more successful growth.
