The Gwinnett County Public Library Board of Trustees called a meeting on July 16, 2012 at the Administrative Office. Present were Board members Phillip Saxton-Chair, Betty Atkinson-Vice Chair, Babs Wagoner-Secretary, and Suzanne Skeen-Treasurer. Dick Goodman was absent. Administrative staff members present were Nancy Stanbery-Kellam-Executive Director, Liz Forster-Deputy Director, Jane Walters-Business Services Director, and Shannon Sheffield-Administrative Assistant. The meeting was called to order at 5:07 pm.
Nancy Stanbery-Kellam explained the purpose for the called meeting. The IRS contacted the Library requesting it to update its constitution to include general provisions for a 501(c)3 organization.
Motion by Atkinson to amend the Library Constitution to include the current required IRS provisions relating to the Library’s non-profit status, seconded by Suzanne Skeen, unanimous.
Motion by Wagoner to adjourn meeting at 5:13, seconded by Skeen, unanimous.
