Science: Magic in your Backyard!

Chattahoochee Nature Center presents: Georgia Wildlife Journey
What lives in your own backyard? Learn about 3 creatures native to the Piedmont region of Georgia in an interactive live animal demonstration. A Chattahoochee Nature Center instructor will bring a mammal, a bird of prey and a reptile for you to meet, right here at the library! This program is best suited for kids, ages 4 to 10.

Join us in June and July for storytimes, programs for elementary school age students, puppet shows and more. There are also fun programs just for teensEnjoy animal encounters and special guest performances throughout summer. Have a blast at your library with science demonstrations, games, and crafts! All programs are free and open to individual children and their accompanying adult (large groups such as camps or classes cannot be accommodated).

About the Summer Reading Program:
Anyone can participate in the Summer Reading Program. All ages are welcome to participate. From May 12 through August 16, 2014, readers of all ages can set a goal, keep track of their reading activities, and collect great prizes. Look for special incentives and programs to keep the excitement going all summer long! Stop by any branch to pick up a registration packet with a reading record log, sticker, and bookmark.
(ages 0 through 5th grade)

(rising 6th graders and up)
Once you set and finish your goal, bring the reading record into any branch. Kids will receive a Certificate of Recognition, coupons from local sponsors, a free book and a chance to win super awesome stuff! Plus, throughout the summer there will be drawings for a chance at additional prizes!
