We have added LibraryThing for Libraries to our library catalog!

LibraryThing is an online service that helps users list, describe, review, and catalog their own book collections.

A community of one million LibraryThing users, the "world's largest book club," have cataloged over 48 million books, using over 60 million descriptive, everyday terms to "tag" them.*

We've taken all of that descriptive information, along with the lists of recommended and related titles that are generated by connecting all of the data, and incorporated it into the library catalog.

When you view a book in the library catalog, you will see a lot of useful information. This includes descriptive terms (tags) that are most frequently used in theLibraryThing database to describe the content, characters, or genre of the book, as well as a list of related or recommended materials that are in the GCPL collection.
