Libary Cards
If you are a Gwinnett County resident, getting a library card is free! Out of County customers are charged an annual fee based on the amount a Gwinnett County resident contributes towards public library service, currently $30.
Extended Loan Fees
If you choose to keep library materials longer than the loan period, your extended loan fee will be 20¢ per day per item. Effective February 1, 2010, library customers with a balance of $15 or more will not have checkout privileges or the ability to renew materials.

Customers who have overdue materials receive several reminders:
- 1st Notice sent at 21 days overdue
- 2nd Notice sent at 28 days overdue
- 3rd Notice sent at 37 days overdue
A bill will be sent if your balance exceeds $25.00. If the balance is not brought below $25 within 10 days after the notice date, the account may be sent to our collection agency and a $10.00 non-refundable fee will be added to the amount due.
Lost or Damaged Materials
Cardholders are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged items. Your account will be charged the replacement cost of an item if it is 45 days or more overdue. Effective February 1, 2010, refunds will not be issued to customers who have paid for lost or damaged materials.
How to Pay Your Fees
You may pay your fees in person at any library branch using Visa, Mastercard, check, or cash. For your convenience, you can pay your fees online using Visa or Mastercard.
