White Birds

By Ansley Deese

 In frosted tops

With name of snow

In dark so soon

The bird flies low

Hunts at night

Sharp eyes of splinter

The mysterious snow owl

White bird of winter

In light drizzling rain

With name of life

In new born nature

Carefree, no strife

Has the myth of a carrier

While flying on wing

The miracle stork

White bird of spring

Above large bodied water

With Name of sea

In light all day

So open and free

It squawks of joy

Like beats of a drummer

The curious seagull

White bird of summer

In gusts of wind

With name of purity

While leaves fall slowly

Its feeling of maturity

As a tool for magic

At a hat’s bottom

The beautiful dove

White bird of autumn

In changing scenes

With name of year

In days of pattern

Time grows clear

All of one color

With different separate reason

They flock together

White birds of season
