What kind of questions will AskInfo answer?
Do you need an address or phone number? A fact, date, or statistic? The source of a quotation? The AskInfo Service operates during the library's regular hours to handle the kind of specific questions that can be answered with brief, factual responses. For more complex questions, you may receive a list of suggested resources to consult on your own in researching your topic.

Who is eligible to use this service?
This service is provided for residents of Gwinnett County and other Gwinnett County Public Library cardholders. Customers not meeting these eligibility requirements will be referred to their local public library unless the requested information is only available in unique local sources.

If you wish to obtain a library card, complete the online registration form. There is a $25.00 annual fee for out-of-county cards.

How much does the service cost?
In general, there is no charge for this service. However, there may be a delivery fee of .15 per page if photocopying and/or faxing are required. You may be requested to register online for a library card in order to expedite payment.

When will I receive an answer?
You will receive an immediate response confirming receipt of your question. Our goal is to answer your question as soon as possible, and you will normally receive an answer within 24 hours. If your question requires more time, you will receive an e-mail providing an estimated response time.

How do I ask my question?
To help us answer your question accurately, completely, and quickly, please complete the AskInfo form. If you have problems using this form, you may e-mail your question to askinfo@gwinnettpl.org. Be sure to include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, a fax number, if applicable, day and evening phone numbers, and level of information needed (elementary, middle, or high school assignment, or adult)

Please provide as many specific details about your question as possible so that we will not repeat work you have already done and so that we will not have to contact you for clarification. For example, if you are looking for the value of a 1996 Ford, include the model, the options or accessories, the engine, and whether you want the wholesale or retail price.
