Tips for finding available titles in the GCPL Digital Media collection:

Using Virtualville:

6       Go to the digital media page at http://www.gwinnettpl.org/DigitalMedia/Main.htm 

6       Click on these Quick Links across the top of the page:
 

Downloadable Video   Downloadable Music   Downloadable Audiobooks  E-books 

In HIP’s Classic Search:

6       Use the default Keyword Search screen

6       Type the name for the collection in the Title Keyword box:

ü      downloadable video

ü      downloadable music

ü      downloadable audiobook

In AquaBrowser:

6       Type the name for the collection in the default Search box:

ü      downloadable video

ü      downloadable music

ü      downloadable audiobook

6       Use the Format links under the Refine section to exclude web sites / narrow list

To find a specific title or subject in a digital media format:

Using the external vendor’s site^*:

6       Use the Quick Links from Virtualville or the direct URLs for the vendors to get to the external site

6       Use the subject links or “advanced search” features at digitalbooks.gwinnettpl.org or www.netlibrary.com to browse or search available digital media.

*Not recommended for audiobooks since they are available on two separate sites; these must be searched via GCPL’s catalog in order to see all holdings.

In HIP’s Classic Search:

6       Use the default Keyword Search screen

6       Type the name for the collection and desired title or subject keywords together in the General Keyword box (examples below):

ü      downloadable video science

ü      downloadable music Beethoven

ü      downloadable audiobook Nora Roberts

In AquaBrowser:

6       Type desired keywords in the default Search box

6       Use the Format links under the Refine section to narrow results list to the preferred format
