ASSISTANT MATERIALS MANAGER

 

SALARY:                           $52,271 annually

 

BAND GRADE:                 C51

 

HOURS:                             Full-time.  Must be able to work weekdays, as well as occasional

                                             evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

                               

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

 

Master’s Degree in Library Science and two years of experience working in a public library after completion of MLS including one year of supervisory experience. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working partnerships with branch collection development staff to include fostering collaborative communications, delivering responsive customer service, education and consistent implementation of the Materials Plan and Policies.  This position is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating the selection, development, and maintenance of the library’s collection.  Will also supervise staff.
